The Installments purchase type lets the buyer pay an initial amount, then the rest in equal parts charged to the card saved at checkout. You can let the buyer choose the number of payments.
Charging a saved card in parts is a Shopify Plus feature. On other plans, use Split payments instead. There, each part is paid by invoice.

Depositly → Purchase options → Create purchase option → Offer terms → Purchase type → Installments
How to set it up
Create a new offer.
Under Purchase type, choose Installments.
Set the initial amount.
Under Number of payments, pick the counts buyers can choose, for example 3 or 4.
Set how often a payment is charged under Payment every, for example every 2 weeks.
Finish the other tabs and click Save.
Good to know
The purchase type can't be changed after the offer is created. Create a new offer to switch.
On non-Plus stores, this offer is collected as a deposit plus one balance.
Cart offers are deposit only.
