Create a split payment offer

A split payment offer controls which split types buyers can use, which products they can use it on, and how the button and popup look.

Depositly → Split payments → Create split payment

The form has three tabs: Offer terms, Where it applies and Texts & discounts.

How to set it up

1. Go to Split payments and click Create split payment.

2. Offer terms:

   • Enter a Name and make sure Active is on.

   • Under Type, tick one or more of Multiple payment, Shared payment and Installment payment.

   • Fill in the settings for each type you ticked. For example, for Multiple payment, set Collect the remaining payment within (the deadline) and the order tags.

   • Optional: under Fulfilment, turn on Hold fulfilment until the order is fully paid.

3. Where it applies:

   • Under Show this option on, choose specific products, products in a collection, products with a tag, the entire store, or Shopify Flow.

   • Optional: under Scheduling, set a launch date and an end date.

4. Texts & discounts:

   • Set the Checkout discount title. This label shows on each split invoice.

   • Choose whether buyers can use discount codes, and how the discount spreads over the payments.

5. Click Save.

Change the look

Click Customize above the preview to change the button text and colors, the button placement, the popup, and the cart drawer style.

Good to know

• The button shows in the cart only when an eligible product is in the cart.

• We recommend percentage discount codes. A large fixed discount can make some payments very small.

• To use split payments only from your admin, tick Dashboard only. See Create a split order manually.
